Wema Bank unveils 35 innovative teams competing in Hackaholics 5.0 grand finale, driving Africa’s tech growth with ₦75M in prizes at stake.
[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ema Bank, a trailblazer in Nigeria’s banking industry and creator of Africa’s first fully digital bank, ALAT, has announced the 35 top teams advancing to the grand finale pitch of Hackaholics 5.0.
The highly anticipated event, themed “Meta Idea: Catalyzing Africa’s Growth Through Innovation,” is scheduled to take place on 25th November 2024 in Lagos.

Following rigorous pre-pitch sessions across eight physical locations and one virtual hub, these standout teams have emerged as leading contenders.
Their groundbreaking ideas span sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, finance, education, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.

Northino, Our Haven, Celia, Nadir, Nimsy Agro, Hebron Chain, Paystrait, DevMe, Preview, Coconoto, EduGaze, Dokia, Gbale Prime, Health 4 Moni, Digiland, Abinci, Unifi, CyclexAfrica, Airify, Kwab, Gnergy, University X, AI Teacha, Code Red, APISentry, Fegor, TrashCoin, Paywise, Pandascrow, Lexia AI, Bunce, Bloom Beauty, MyItura, Accede, and Scratop Nigeria Limited.
The finale will see these innovators pitch their cutting-edge digital technology solutions to a distinguished panel of investors, industry leaders, and mentors.
Competing for ₦75 million in prizes, the winners will share in the following awards: ₦30 million for the grand prize winner, ₦20 million for the first runner-up, ₦15 million for the second runner-up, and ₦10 million for the best women-led team.
