There is no Scriptural or scientific evidence that monogamy is suitable for men. None. And if you have it, I challenge you to produce it.
Many will try to spin Scripture as being against polygamy. Still, the fact remains that we do not have to give our interpretation to such verses because the Judaeo-Christian Scriptures actually make provision for polygamy.
Exodus 21:10 is an example. That verse says:
“If he marries another woman, he must not deprive the first one of her food, clothing and marital rights.”
Some will argue that that is the Old Testament.
Please fact-check me. The terms Old and New Testament were created by men, like you and I. They were first used by Melito, bishop of Sardes, in 170 AD.
There was nothing like the New Testament during the earthly lives of Yeshua and His disciples. Again, fact-check me. The Gospels and everything we now know as the New Testament were written AFTER Yeshua and most of His disciples had left this world.
There is only one Scripture containing the Law, and Yeshua (Jesus) said, “I have not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill them.”-Matthew 5:17.
Scripture says, “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind.”-Numbers 23:19.
Since that is the case, how can you teach that God is against polygamy when He Himself gave multiple wives to David? We see this in 2 Samuel 12:8:
“I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives.”
Look at the sudden rise in prostate cancer and other prostate issues in men of Afro-Caribbean origin.
In contrast, the Middle East and North Africa have the lowest prostate cancer rates on Earth.
The risk of developing prostate cancer is 27% for Black males, 12% for White males, and 7% for Asian males.
The MENA Region is also the most polygamous part of the world.
Coincidence?
Some people point to Paul’s words, which say:
“A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife.”-1 Timothy 3:2.
Actually, that verse is proof polygamy was practiced amongst early believers. If nobody was polygamous, why would Paul make that distinction?
And even that distinction is clear. It is meant for only overseers or bishops. In fact, there are even stronger verses on that issue. Like Matthew 19:10-11:
“The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.” Yeshua (Jesus) replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.”
Paul re-echoed this in 1 Corinthians 7:7:
“But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another.” (NLT).
From the above, it is clear that monogamy and celibacy were special provisions for people in the ministry. They were not to apply to all men.
In my opinion, and please note I am not speaking for God here, nor do I claim to be inspired by the Holy Spirit, it is better to be polygamous and loyal to your wives than to be monogamous and cheat on your wife.
Another way we can know that monogamy is not natural is to look at the libido of men and women. A man’s libido is still active at eighty. However, a woman’s libido gradually fades away between her forties and fifties. I am not referring to menopause. I am referring to libido. Please fact-check me.
Now, are you telling me that if a thirty-year-old man marries a twenty-five-year-old woman, and he lives to be eighty, he is expected by his Maker to give up marital intercourse for the last twenty-five years of his life because his wife has no libido?
Even Rupert Murdoch, the billionaire media mogul, just got married at 93, and the retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, also got married at 93. According to their doctors, both of them are still functioning in the bedroom.
How do you explain that?
Men cheat on their wives because Christendom has cheated men of their rights!
