The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has denied being part of the shooting at the Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday night.

Dozens of End SARS protesters were killed and many left critically injured, after men believed to be officers of the Nigerian Army, opened fire at them.

In a telephone interview with Channels Television on Wednesday morning, Tinubu insisted he will never be part of any carnage.

The former Governor of the state also condemned the action of the Army, saying, “Why will they use live bullets?

“I will never, never be part of any carnage. I will never be part of that.”

Tinubu also denied having any investment in the Lekki Concession Company (LCC), the firm which manages the tollgate.

“I have no dime, no kobo investment in the tollgate,” he said.
