Mary Olohunwa finds herself in the hospital after being brutally assaulted by her ex-husband, Keji Ademola, in Bako Estate, Owode Onirin, Lagos. The attack occurred last Thursday as Mary was en route to her shop, where she was accosted by Ademola and subjected to a violent assault, including being struck with a heavy stone.

Ademola allegedly justified his actions by claiming he saw strange marks on their children’s heads. Mary explained that the marks were intended to ward off spiritual attacks and protect the children. Despite her explanation, the ex-husband proceeded with the brutal assault.

Pictures obtained depict Mary lying in the hospital with a bloodied face, while a video captured the moment Ademola was apprehended by residents after attempting to flee the scene.

A relative of Mary disclosed that she suffered significant injuries and had to be rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The medical bill for her treatment amounts to approximately N160,000.

Ademola has been taken into custody by the police and is expected to be arraigned in court. This isn’t the first time he has allegedly targeted Mary, as the relative revealed it was the third attempt on her life. The couple had separated three years ago due to Ademola’s violent behavior.

Mary’s sister expressed concern over the previous release of Ademola after a previous incident, urging the police not to compromise on their duty this time. Efforts to obtain further details from the state police command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
