The cheque presentation took place on Tuesday in Lagos, with each beneficiary receiving ₦6.125 million to support their work.
The recipients of the donation include Agbedare Jesus Care Foundation, Ibadan; Flora Trust Foundation, Lagos; Gilead Initiatives, Ikorodu; Bethesda School for the Blind, Lagos; Jesus Orphanage, Port Harcourt; and Gold Gate Mission, Michika.
Since its inception, Worship For Change has raised funds for over 40 charities, positively impacting the lives of vulnerable children and orphans nationwide.
Founder Wale Adenuga expressed gratitude to donors from Nigeria and beyond, acknowledging their role in transforming lives. He emphasised that the support provides hope to children in dire need.
Chika Ugochukwu of Flora Trust Foundation highlighted the challenges of caring for children with severe disabilities and stated that the funds would help expand facilities and provide essential assistive devices such as wheelchairs and feeding tubes.
Mrs Agbedare Beatrice Adenike of Agbedare Jesus Care Foundation described the donation as divine intervention.
She noted that it would enhance care for children, including those with cerebral palsy, and enable the foundation to accommodate more children in need. The event reinforced the importance of supporting children with special needs and orphans, who are often marginalised in society.
On 1 October 2024, Worship For Change organised the seventh edition of the Green Worship Concert at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja.
The event featured performances by Nathaniel Bassey, AnEndlessOcean, legendary US gospel singer Bob Fitts, and Nosa, among other top artists. The concert served as a fundraising platform for this year’s charity donations.
As Wale Adenuga stated, “Every child deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Together, we can make a lasting impact and bring hope to those who need it most.”
