The defectors were formally received on Monday by Aminu Jaji, the lawmaker representing the Birnin Magaji/Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Representing Jaji at the event, the State Chairman of the APC Jajiyyaa Group, Alhaji Isiyaka Ajiya-Anka, welcomed the new members, describing their decision as a “major boost” for the ruling party.

Prominent among the defectors are former state APGA Chairman Alhaji Rabi’u Salisu-Bature and hundreds of APGA supporters.

Additionally, YPP State Chairman Alhaji Sani Anka and his loyalists have pledged their allegiance to the APC.

The PDP has also seen notable figures from Shinkafi Local Government Area switching sides, including former Director-General Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf, PDP elder Malam Ibrahim Tado, Women Leader Hajiya Abu Alasan, and Youth Leader Lukman Hamidu.

Isiyaka Ajiya-Anka assured the defectors of fair treatment and a collaborative atmosphere within the party. He expressed confidence that their experience and influence would significantly enhance the APC’s political standing in Zamfara.

“The calibre of these defectors, especially party leaders, strengthens the Jajiyya movement and positions the APC for greater success in the state,” Ajiya-Anka stated.
