Nigerian music star Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna space buses to lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi in support of his ambition to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027.
D’Banj presented the vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Thursday.

Olajengbesi disclosed the development in a Facebook post on Friday, describing the donation as a surprise and a significant show of support from the singer. The donation has also been reported by The PUNCH and TheCable.
According to Olajengbesi, D’Banj contacted him about two weeks earlier to obtain the details of the person handling his campaign branding.
Olajengbesi said he initially believed the request was connected to D’Banj’s CREAM initiative, which focuses on supporting young creatives.
He subsequently provided the requested contact details.
However, he said he was surprised when he later received three fully branded Sienna buses from the singer.
Olajengbesi quoted D’Banj as telling him: “It’s my token of support.”
The lawyer expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of support for his political journey.
Olajengbesi is seeking to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election.
He secured the Accord Party ticket for the constituency in May 2026, according to reports.
The lawyer previously contested the same constituency in 2019.
He is also the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State and served as spokesperson for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s 2026 re-election campaign.
D’Banj’s support comes shortly after fellow music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, publicly endorsed Olajengbesi’s 2027 House of Representatives bid.
Davido expressed his support for the lawyer in a social media post in September.
Olajengbesi has also received public backing from other figures, including Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, who declared his support for the bid in September.
The developments have drawn attention to Olajengbesi’s campaign for the Oriade-Obokun federal constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.

Olajengbesi, who turned 40 in August, has previously described his political ambition as an effort to promote youth representation in the constituency.
