[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n a strategic move to enhance its leadership, 9mobile has appointed Dorothy Tunde-Ajala as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

A seasoned HR expert with over 20 years of experience, Dorothy is known for driving business transformation through HR initiatives.

Her appointment highlights 9mobile’s commitment to fostering a people-focused culture while aligning with its long-term goals.

Tunde-Ajala has an impressive track record, having held leadership positions across sectors such as telecommunications, energy, and business services.

She has played key roles in shaping high-performance cultures and leading HR transformations in major organisations.

Notable past positions include Chief Talent & Strategy Officer at Accelerate Leadership Ltd, HR Director for Anglophone West Africa at Schneider Electric, and HR Manager at MTN Nigeria Communications.

Her extensive experience includes managing leadership pipelines, talent development, employee engagement, and driving organisational effectiveness.

Dorothy’s expertise will be instrumental in advancing 9mobile’s employee engagement, performance management, and professional development strategies.

Obafemi Banigbe, CEO of 9mobile, welcomed Dorothy’s appointment, describing her as a valuable addition to the leadership team.

He emphasised the importance of her role in 9mobile’s ongoing business transformation, which began four months ago with the appointment of a new CFO and CTIO.

Dorothy herself expressed excitement about joining 9mobile at a pivotal time in its transformation journey.

She highlighted the company’s strong foundation and her commitment to nurturing its most critical asset—its people.

By aligning talent development with the company’s strategic goals, Dorothy aims to foster collaboration, maximise potential, and drive sustainable growth.

Dorothy Tunde-Ajala holds a B.Sc. in Sociology from the University of Lagos and is a certified John Maxwell Trainer, Speaker, and Coach.

She is also a Global Professional in Human Resources and an active member of several professional bodies, including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Nigeria.
