Ondo state governor dissolves executive council, relieves aides of duties

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has dissolved the State Executive Council and relieved all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants of their duties. The announcement came through a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Wednesday, with the governor specifying that the changes would take immediate effect.

According to the statement, all members of the cabinet are instructed to promptly hand over their responsibilities to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices. Additionally, the affected officials are directed to relinquish all government properties in their possession.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed appreciation for the services and contributions of the affected officials to the development of the state. The dissolution of the State Executive Council and the relieving of aides mark a significant restructuring in the governance structure of Ondo State.
