The charity arm of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God, His Love Foundation, has said it would host the International Christian Social Responsibility Conference, to respond to the urgent need for collaborative action amid unprecedented global challenges.
The event, tagged ‘Driving Collaboration for Sustainable Development’, will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in Lagos.
According to the statement by the organisers, the event aims to catalyse collective efforts towards addressing pressing societal and environmental issues.
It also hoped to offer attendees a platform to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore innovative solutions across various sectors.
The statement read in part, “By fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including corporations, non-governmental organisations, governments, and academia – the conference seeks to accelerate progress towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and fostering a more resilient and equitable world.”
It stated that the keynote speaker would be the President and founder of CSR Training Institute, Prof Wayne Dunn, who would lead engaging panel discussions, and facilitate interactive workshops at the core of the conference agenda.
The statement read further, “The International CSR Conference presents a unique opportunity for participants to network, learn, and collaborate with like-minded individuals committed to making a difference. Whether seasoned CSR practitioners or newcomers, attendees will gain valuable insights and actionable strategies to drive positive change within their organisations and beyond.
“Join us as we come together to drive collaboration for sustainable development. Together, we can harness the power of collective action to address the world’s most pressing challenges and create a brighter future for generations to come.
