Death has been announced of Mrs Muirbat Caroline Owomoyela the wife of Dr Orlando Owoh.
Mrs Muirbat dies at her residence, No 6, Karimu Oyelade, Papa Asafa, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos today, July 24, 2024.

Muibat was a journalist in one of the Nigerian newspapers in the early 1970s.
She was a contemporary of Dr Mrs Doyin Abiola when Orlando Owoh married her.
She was the one who owned up to the cocaine that Orlando Owoh was framed up for by the power that be in 1986 after the music icon produced an album where he bemoaned the gruesome murder of Dele Giwa through a percel bomb.
Orlando Owoh ended up in prison at Alagbon, Ikoyi and Kirikiri in Lagos Nigeria.
After much legal battle, Orlando Owoh was released while Muibat was jailed and spent some years in prison before she was exonerated of the charges and her eventual released.
She will be remembered for standing by her husband in his predicament to the point of paying the supreme price if need be.
She is survived by children and grandchildren.
