A Federal High Court in Abuja has postponed the judgment on a suit seeking the removal of Dr Abdullahi Ganduje as APC National Chairman. The new date for the judgment is September 23, as the court was not ready to deliver the verdict on the earlier scheduled date.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Federal High Court in Abuja has shifted its judgment in a case seeking the removal of Dr Abdullahi Ganduje as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to September 23.
The matter, initially set for a ruling on September 18, was postponed after the court informed the involved parties that the judgment was not yet ready.

According to a source, the court registrar had already contacted both parties to inform them of the new date.
Justice Inyang Ekwo had previously fixed the September 18 date after hearing submissions from the plaintiff’s counsel, Benjamin Davou, and the defence team.
The suit, filed by the North Central APC Forum led by Saleh Zazzaga, challenges Ganduje’s appointment on the grounds that he hails from Kano State, in the North West geo-political zone, which allegedly violates the APC’s constitutional requirement that the party chairman be selected from the North Central zone.
The case argues that Ganduje’s appointment to replace former chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu, from Nasarawa State in the North Central zone, contravenes the party’s constitution.
The plaintiff has also requested that the court restrain Ganduje from continuing as APC chairman and seeks to invalidate any actions taken by the party since his appointment in August 2023, including congresses and primaries.
