Greener Hope partners with NALDA to revolutionise Nigerian agriculture through mechanisation, boosting food security and economic growth.
[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n a strategic move to transform agriculture in Nigeria, the Greener Hope Large Scale Mechanisation Programme has partnered with the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA).

This collaboration aims to boost agricultural productivity through modern farming methods and address Nigeria’s food insecurity.
During a recent visit to NALDA’s Executive Secretary, Mr Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo, the Greener Hope team discussed plans to integrate mechanisation, land clearing, and the establishment of large-scale model farms.
The partnership between Origin Tech Group, the force behind Greener Hope, and NALDA, will help farmers transition to large-scale farming, providing them with sustainable access to modern equipment and tools that can increase crop yields and manage post-harvest losses.
Prince S. J. Samuel, Executive Chairman of Origin Tech Group, highlighted the importance of this partnership.
“Our collaboration with NALDA is a key step in unlocking the potential of Nigeria’s agriculture. By combining mechanisation and land development, we are paving the way for food security and long-term economic growth.”
The programme also seeks to empower smallholder farmers and commercial farming enterprises by providing modern equipment and training young people in equipment use and maintenance. This will help to raise Nigeria’s agricultural standards, create jobs, and promote rural development.
NALDA’s Executive Secretary, Mr Cornelius Adebayo, emphasised the role of public-private partnerships in agricultural transformation. “Together with Origin Tech Group, we aim to empower farmers, create jobs, and improve rural prosperity, mitigating rural-urban migration, especially among youths.”
Dr Musa Olasupo, Director of Programmes for Greener Hope, expressed urgency in addressing Nigeria’s food security challenges. “Greener Hope will bridge the gaps in agriculture by providing farmers with the tools and infrastructure needed for large-scale farming and securing the future of food production in Nigeria.”
The Greener Hope Large Scale Mechanisation Programme, supported by the Federal Ministries of Agriculture and Food Security, is designed to overhaul Nigeria’s agricultural sector through the provision of modern machinery and capacity-building programmes.
Model farms will serve as hubs for agricultural best practices, showcasing innovative farming techniques that can help the country achieve self-sufficiency.
