The bank partnered with various health organisations to launch campaigns that highlighted the challenges faced by individuals living with sickle cell disorder.

Their initiative focused on disseminating crucial information about prevention, early diagnosis, and management of the condition.

By leading the conversation, Access Bank ensured that both rural and urban communities were reached through seminars, outreach programmes, and social media campaigns.

Access Bank also facilitated free genetic testing and counselling sessions to encourage people to know their sickle cell status.

This move is significant in a country like Nigeria, where sickle cell disorder affects millions and remains a significant public health concern.

The bank’s commitment extended beyond raising awareness; they offered financial support to sickle cell research and treatment centres across the country.

These efforts reflect the bank’s dedication to corporate social responsibility, particularly in addressing health issues affecting vulnerable populations.

Through their initiatives, Access Bank not only provided education but also promoted inclusivity and support for those living with sickle cell disorder.

Their efforts during Sickle Cell Awareness Month will leave a lasting impact on both the local and national levels, contributing to long-term awareness and better management of the disorder.
