Naija Times’ editors join London’s Film Africa Festival 2024, highlighting Nigerian cinema with Wole Soyinka-inspired “The Man Died.”

[dropcap]E[/dropcap]hi Braimah, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Naija Times, and Jahman Anikulapo, the publication’s Editorial Director, were honoured guests at the opening of the Film Africa Festival 2024, held on October 27 at the British Film Institute (BFI) Southbank in London.

The event, titled An African Odyssey, marked the festival’s commitment to showcasing African cinema and cultural narratives.

The festival opened with the screening of Dahomey, after which guests celebrated African film achievements, hosted by the Royal African Society at BFI Southbank.

Among the festival’s featured films are 20 Nigerian titles, including The Man Died, inspired by Wole Soyinka’s prison memoirs, and a selection of 10 short films from the British Council West Africa’s FilmLab project.
