Minister Nyesom Wike declared the new commercial hub would dramatically increase trade and commercial activities, stimulating economic growth within the nation’s capital.

Constructed through a partnership between Abuja Investment Company Limited (AICL) and Urban Shelter Limited, the Guzape Mall, situated on 1.45 hectares, boasts over 200 parking spaces and 46 commercial units.

Representing Minister Wike, the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, emphasised the project’s role in advancing infrastructure development and fostering sustainable economic growth.

She commended Amb. Maureen Tamuno, Group Managing Director of AICL, for successfully completing the project, conceived a decade prior.

“We witness a significant milestone – the birth of a vibrant commercial hub,” stated Dr. Mahmoud. “This mall represents progress, vision, and the spirit of development that defines Abuja as a modern, rapidly growing city.

It is a place for connection, opportunity, business growth, and leisure, providing a platform for local entrepreneurs and job creation.”

Amb. Maureen Tamuno highlighted the mall’s contribution to job creation during construction and its potential to generate further employment in retail, services, hospitality, and maintenance.

She stressed the mall’s modern architecture and sustainable design, catering to residents of Guzape, Asokoro, Garki, and Apo.

Saadiya Aminu, Managing Director of Urban Shelter, encouraged investors to leverage the mall’s prime location and state-of-the-art facilities.

She invited the public to experience the unique shopping, dining, and entertainment options available, predicting the mall’s emergence as a hub for commerce and innovation.

Minister for Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Zaphaniah Jisalo, former Niger State Governor, Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, ex-Minister of Sports, Engr. Sani Ndanusa, and FCT Head of Service, Grace Adayilo, all praised the FCT Ministers and Amb. Tamuno for their dedication to Abuja’s economic development.
