Three Afrograms alumni—Sulaimon, Adegbenro, and Famuyiwa—will be inducted into the elite Abeokuta Sport Club on May 3, 2025
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]hree distinguished alumni of the African Church Grammar School, Iyalode, known as Afrograms, are set to take their place among the elite at the historic Abeokuta Sport Club.

Members of the Class of Klub 940; Babatunde Sulaimon, Dr. Muiz Adegbenro, and Babatunde Famuyiwa, will be officially inducted into the prestigious social club on May 3, 2025.

Sulaimon currently serves as Finance Controller at Schneider Electric Nigeria Limited. Famuyiwa is Executive Director of Projects and Construction at Veritasi Homes and Properties PLC, while Dr. Adegbenro leads Corporate Events and Sponsorship at MTN Nigeria Communications Plc.

Their induction is a proud milestone not only for the Afrograms alumni network but also for the Abeokuta community, as these professionals bring fresh energy and prestige to the club.

Dr. Adegbenro currently is also the National Vice President II of the African Church Grammar School, Abeokuta Old Students Association, ACGSAOSA, while Sulaimon is the National Treasurer of the same association.
Founded in 1904, the Abeokuta Sport Club is one of Nigeria’s oldest and most respected social institutions. Records show that it hosted delegates from the Gold Coast (now Ghana) as far back as 1913.

Originally established as a relaxation hub for the West African Command Headquarters, the club has evolved into a gathering point for intellectuals, business leaders, and influential personalities.
Under the leadership of its current president, Prince ‘Seni Ogunyemi (Class of 1739), the club continues to uphold its legacy of excellence and community engagement.
