The EFCC has issued a wanted notice for Elie Bitar, a 41-year-old foreign national, for alleged involvement in a cryptocurrency fraud via the online platform Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), defrauding numerous Nigerian investors

Bitar is allegedly linked to the online trading platform Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), which is accused of defrauding numerous unsuspecting investors across Nigeria.

According to an official bulletin released by the EFCC, Bitar is suspected of orchestrating a fraudulent scheme through CBEX, capitalizing on the growing interest in cryptocurrency investments within Nigeria.

The platform, CBEX, had promised users rapid and substantial returns on their crypto trading and investments but soon raised red flags due to its apparent lack of regulatory compliance and transparency.
