The agency recently sealed off several facilities across the Lagos Mainland due to persistent noise pollution and other environmental infractions.

This action underscores the government’s commitment to public health and urban quality.

The enforcement operation targeted various affected areas including Aguda, Surulere, LASU Iba Road, Ilogbo Road, Jakande, Ajangbadi, Ojo, Okokomaiko, and Agric Bus Stop.

Among the establishments sealed were Admax Lounge, Casco Gas Plant, Food Affairs, Hotel De Bravo, JC Wellington Hotel & Suites, Niger Villa, Nayon Superstores, Another Level Hotel, The Levite Assembly, Lutana Lounge & Suites, and Kelwinson Hotel.

LASEPA officially announced the enforcement operation on its X (formerly Twitter) handle, @LasepaOfficial, on Wednesday.

The agency stated, “Today, June 17, we intensified enforcement actions across Lagos Mainland due to persistent environmental violations, especially noise pollution.” This public declaration highlighted the agency’s resolve.

Speaking on this development, the General Manager of LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reiterated the agency’s zero tolerance stance on environmental violations.

He particularly emphasized noise pollution, which he noted has a damaging impact on public health. Dr Ajayi stressed the importance of these actions for the well being of Lagos residents.

“Our enforcement today is a clear message that we are committed to protecting the environment and ensuring a healthier Lagos,” he stated unequivocally.
