Sandra Duru premieres ‘Beware of Natasha’ on FCC TV, sparking speculation over its political message linked to suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti

[dropcap]N[/dropcap]atasha movie premiere controversy has stirred intense debate online as media personality and social commentator Sandra Duru, known as ‘Prof Mgbeke’, officially announced the release of her new film, Beware of Natasha.

The movie premiered at 3:00pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025, via FCC TV’s YouTube channel.

Duru shared the announcement through her verified Facebook page alongside a bold invitation urging the public to “feed your mind” with the film’s message.

“This interesting movie, which like all good arts, reflects the realities of our society politically and socially, will be uploaded today,” she wrote.

The film, produced by FCC Films and Media Limited, is a collaborative creation of Onwuasoanya FCC Jones.

It features a dynamic cast including Uche Nyama, Nelly Edoranwa, Divine Tobias, and Chinny Amanda. While the storyline remains undisclosed, it has already triggered widespread online speculation.

This interesting movie reflects the realities of our society… Tune in and feed your mind, then make your conclusions.

Social media users quickly drew parallels between the film’s title and recent events involving suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Many believe the film is a thinly veiled commentary on the controversial political saga.

“A case that you have sent to the appropriate authority to investigate, you’re now acting it in a movie. Why not let them finish before this drama?” asked one Facebook user, Ajah George.

Responding to the mounting controversy, Duru pushed back against the assumptions, stating, “Is there only one Natasha in the world?”

Her response has done little to calm debates, with audiences now more eager to draw their own conclusions from the film’s release.

As the conversation around Beware of Natasha grows, it continues to highlight the power of cinema in shaping public discourse and challenging political narratives in Nigeria.
