The equipment was officially handed over during a commissioning ceremony in Abuja on August 1, where Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, praised the donation as a “game changer” in improving Nigeria’s vast but poorly maintained road network.

“This donation will empower our engineers and technicians to deliver quality and timely road infrastructure across the country,” Goronyo said, adding that efficient roads are vital for commerce, healthcare, agriculture, and national unity.

FERMA’s leadership has been tasked with treating the equipment as a strategic national asset, ensuring maximum utilization to improve travel safety and quality of life for Nigerians.
