Erika Kirk vows her husband Charlie Kirk’s mission will not die, delivering a tearful tribute after his assassination on a Utah university campus

Standing beside Charlie Kirk’s empty podcast chair, his widow addressed both supporters and what she called “evil-doers” responsible for his death.

With her voice breaking, she declared: “You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.”

She thanked first responders who tried to save her husband, while recalling his devotion to President Donald Trump, Vice-President JD Vance, their two young children, and his love for the United States.

“My husband’s voice will remain,” she pledged, insisting that the movement he built will endure.

Erika Kirk, 36, also revealed that her husband’s university tour would continue through the autumn and beyond, and that his popular podcast would carry on despite his death.

Speaking tenderly of their one-year-old son and three-year-old daughter, she admitted struggling to explain the tragedy.

“Baby, daddy loves you so much. Don’t you worry. He’s on a work trip with Jesus,” she told their daughter during the livestream.

A businesswoman and former Miss Arizona USA, Mrs Kirk met her husband in 2018.

They married less than two years later and built a family life that often featured on social media though the couple always kept their children’s faces private.

Alongside her studies for a doctorate in Bible Studies, Erika runs a ministry programme, presents the Midweek Rise Up podcast on Biblical leadership, and manages a faith-inspired clothing line.

Now, she insists, her husband’s death has lit a flame that will fuel their shared cause: “If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you just unleashed across this entire country and this world.”
