NAF airstrike kills Borno terrorists and destroys their stronghold in Bula Madibale, disrupting planned attacks and denying insurgents safe haven

NAF airstrike kills Borno terrorists in a successful midweek raid that targeted a major insurgent enclave in the Bula Madibale–Gezuwa axis of Borno State.

The Nigerian Air Force confirmed on Thursday that the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai launched precision strikes at around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, following credible intelligence on terrorist activities in the area.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, surveillance had tracked approximately 45 terrorists converging at the site, many arriving on motorcycles and bicycles.

Reconnaissance also revealed two terrorist flags hoisted, indicating the location’s use as a rallying point and operational base.

“Acting on this credible intelligence, the Air Component launched precision strikes, eliminating several terrorists, while the flagged structure and other hostile assets were destroyed,” Ejodame said in the official statement released in Abuja.

The powerful strikes not only neutralised threats on the ground but also prevented terrorists from regrouping or launching further attacks on nearby communities.

Ejodame added that the operation was part of a continued effort to restore peace and stability in Nigeria’s North East, with the Armed Forces remaining committed to dismantling terrorist infrastructure across the region.
