Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun faces backlash as the only incumbent ranked 4th worst in Unofficial Olas’ poll of Nigeria’s most failed governors.
In a scathing blow to his embattled tenure, Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has been named one of Nigeria’s most deplorable leaders in a viral poll that’s set social media ablaze.
Conducted by outspoken influencer Unofficial Olas, whose razor-sharp rankings dissect Nigeria’s highs and lows, the poll places Abiodun at a disgraceful fourth place among the “10 Worst Governors Ever” to helm a Nigerian state.

As the only sitting governor on this ignominious list, Abiodun’s inclusion paints a grim picture of his administration’s failures, amplifying the growing discontent among Ogun residents who feel shortchanged by unfulfilled promises and crumbling infrastructure.
Unofficial Olas, a social media firebrand with thousands of followers on Facebook, X (@Unofficial_Olas) and a knack for stirring public debate, unveiled the rankings in a video that’s racking up views faster than a Lagos traffic jam.
Unlike past governors like Yahaya Bello of Kogi (10th), Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia (9th), and Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta (1st); all lambasted for squandering their states’ potential, Abiodun’s mid-term ranking as an incumbent is a rare and humiliating distinction.
For a governor who rode into office in 2019 on a wave of business savvy and APC clout, Abiodun’s fall from grace is stark.
Even his 2023 re-election, eked out by a slim 13,915-vote margin, feels like a pyrrhic victory.
