Zenith General Insurance donation brings hope to Lagos orphanages, reaffirming its empathy and commitment to supporting vulnerable children
Zenith General Insurance donation has brought smiles and renewed hope to children at two Lagos orphanages Heritage Homes and Children Anchor Orphanage Home as the company extended food items and essential supplies as part of its corporate social responsibility drive.

In a statement, the firm said the gesture reaffirmed its commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and promoting community development across Nigeria.
During the visits, senior representatives of Zenith General Insurance emphasised that the initiative reflects the organisation’s core values of empathy, care, and community impact.
Senior Manager for Head Office Marketing and South-South branches, Edith Agu, said the effort was aimed at showing the children that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
“We want to show them that Zenith Insurance cares about them and that their well-being is important to us,” she said.
Agu further encouraged businesses to maintain their social impact initiatives even amid economic challenges, stressing the need for corporate organisations to make deliberate budgetary allocations for community support.
At the Children Anchor Orphanage Home, supervisor Olajide Bankole expressed gratitude to Zenith General Insurance for the donations, noting that the home, which shelters over 35 children, relies heavily on donations and goodwill. “We are really grateful. We are not the only orphanage, but you chose us,” he said.
Similarly, Heritage Homes, founded to serve as a haven for abandoned and orphaned children, received supplies with appreciation from both staff and children, who welcomed the visitors warmly.
During the visit, Deputy Head of IT, Abimbola Sarumi, noted that the visit was an opportunity “to put an extra smile on the faces of our children, our tomorrow.”
Head of Internal Control and Audit, Muyiwa Aderibigbe, echoed this sentiment, saying the company’s outreach reflects its core values.
“This activity speaks to one of our values — empathy. We want you to stay alive and keep hope alive because joy is coming,” he told the children.
He added that while the times are tough for many businesses, organisations must continue to “make an impact beyond profit.”
As the event concluded, the atmosphere was filled with gratitude, laughter, and optimism for a stronger partnership between Zenith General Insurance and the orphanages.
