Arsenal Premier League fixture change — Arsenal have formally asked the Premier League to move their upcoming fixture after the English Football League (EFL) rescheduled the club’s cup quarter-final against Chelsea.

Manager Mikel Arteta expressed frustration over the current scheduling, which leaves his side facing two matches in just 48 hours.
Speaking after the EFL confirmed a new date for the quarter-final between the two London rivals, Arteta said: “Hopefully they will move our Premier League match, because to play two days later doesn’t make any sense.
“So now we decide the date for the [EFL Cup] match, I am sure they will change the Premier League [match] as well.”
According to BBC Sport, while Arsenal have made clear their preference for their first visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium to be played on the Saturday, that is not the only potential date being considered by the Premier League.
The North London club are top of the league following their recent win against Burnley but face a congested fixture list as they chase domestic and European honours.

A decision from the Premier League on the new date is expected in the coming days.
