ArtsforChange 2025 finale announces grand event on December 10, rewarding emerging artists with N1,000,000 prize and career-boosting opportunities

ArtsforChange 2025 finale is set to bring Nigeria’s emerging artists into the spotlight with the grand conclusion of the national art competition on December 10 at Adnap Place, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.

The initiative is organised by ArtsforChange Foundation in collaboration with First Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions.

Now in its fourth edition, the competition continues to be one of the nation’s most influential platforms for discovering and nurturing young creative talent.

This year’s theme, “Naija Street Energy”, celebrates the vibrancy, resilience, and expressive spirit of everyday Nigerian street life.

Artists were tasked with interpreting this cultural dynamism through painting, resulting in a diverse array of bold and culturally resonant submissions.

A distinguished panel of judges, chaired by Steve Ayorinde, former Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture, is reviewing entries to ensure only works demonstrating exceptional technique, originality, and authenticity advance to the finale.

The winner will receive a N1,000,000 cash prize, along with significant professional exposure and career-enhancing opportunities.

The foundation emphasised that the competition is more than a contest, serving as a transformative platform for collaboration, exhibition, and skill development both locally and internationally.

Past winners have gone on to remarkable achievements: the inaugural winner is now collaborating with the Indonesian Embassy on art projects, while the most recent winner has partnered with an international NGO on recycled-material artistic initiatives.

These successes underscore the competition’s lasting impact on Nigeria’s creative ecosystem.

Titiloye Amzat, founder of ArtsforChange, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to empowering young creatives.

He said the competition not only highlights exceptional talent but also provides access, visibility, and institutional support for the next generation of Nigerian artists.

First Bank’s sponsorship, he noted, further enhances the programme’s reach, aligning with the financial institution’s dedication to youth development and the advancement of Nigeria’s cultural industries.

The ArtsforChange 2025 Finale promises a vibrant showcase of artistic innovation, celebrating the ingenuity, passion, and creativity of Nigeria’s youth while reinforcing the arts as a driver of cultural expression and social transformation.
