Rivers lawmakers praise Wike as National Assembly caucus celebrates the FCT minister’s 58th birthday and leadership legacy
Members of the Rivers State Caucus in the National Assembly on Saturday in Abuja congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike, on the occasion of his 58th birthday, praising his leadership and commitment to national development.

The lawmakers, in a joint statement signed by Senator Barry Mpigi, Senator Allwell Onyesoh, and the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Kingsley Chinda, alongside several members of the House, described Nyesom Wike as a visionary public servant whose impact continues to resonate across the Federal Capital Territory and beyond.
The statement said the Rivers caucus was united in celebrating what it described as the minister’s exceptional leadership, dedication and firm resolve in advancing development and fostering unity in the nation’s capital.
The lawmakers noted that Nyesom Wike’s stewardship of the Federal Capital Territory has been marked by decisive action and a relentless drive for progress, which they said has empowered communities and strengthened public confidence in governance.
According to the statement, the caucus expressed confidence that the minister’s wisdom and experience would continue to illuminate the path towards prosperity and sustainable development for the people he serves.
Members of the Rivers State Caucus also extended prayers for good health, happiness and continued success, describing Nyesom Wike’s career in public service as a powerful example of integrity and commitment.
