The Asaba based actress shared details of the incident from her hospital bed, revealing that she woke up one morning feeling completely numb and lifeless.

In a message posted on her Instagram page, Martins said the episode began when she realised she could not feel any part of her body after waking up.

She described the moment as terrifying, saying she felt as though her body had shut down.

Despite the alarming condition, the actress said she forced herself to continue with her daily activities.

She visited her stores to conduct staff interviews and take inventory, ignoring the warning signs until her body eventually gave way.

“I still struggled and went to my stores… that was when I slumped,” she wrote.

Martins disclosed that doctors carried out more than 32 comprehensive medical tests on her, including checks for cancer, fibroid, liver and kidney failure, malaria and typhoid. She said all the tests returned negative results.

According to her, medical experts later diagnosed her with extreme exhaustion caused by prolonged physical and mental stress.

The actress admitted that she had been working non stop since December without taking breaks, stretching or resting, even after her staff travelled for the holidays.

“No days off, no nothing… just a walking corpse working tirelessly to cater for others, forgetting myself,” she said.

Martins, who is known for her charitable support for children and women, explained that her passion for helping others led her to neglect her own health.

She expressed gratitude for what she described as divine protection and a second chance to prioritise self care.

Following her post, fans and colleagues flooded social media with messages of support, urging her to rest and focus on recovery.
