Justin Bieber Grammy return confirmed as the pop star performs at the 2026 awards after years away from the spotlight

Justin Drew Bieber, Canadian pop star and multiple Grammy Award winner, will return to the Grammy Awards stage at the 2026 ceremony on February 1, marking his first solo public performance since cancelling his world tour in 2022, the Recording Academy confirmed on Thursday.

The performance represents a pivotal moment in Justin Bieber’s career following an extended absence caused by health challenges.

The singer withdrew from live touring after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a neurological condition that affects facial nerves and can lead to partial paralysis.

Justin Bieber arrives at the 2026 Grammys with four nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for his latest project, SWAG.

He is also nominated for Best R&B Performance for “Yukon” and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Daisies,” reinforcing his continued commercial and critical relevance despite time away from the spotlight.

The upcoming appearance will be Justin Bieber’s fourth Grammy performance and his first since 2022, when he delivered an intimate piano led rendition of “Peaches” alongside Daniel Caesar and Giveon. Since then, his only notable public vocal performance was a surprise guest appearance during SZA’s Toronto concert in 2024, where he joined her on stage for “Snooze.”

Industry observers view the Grammy performance as a powerful signal of Justin Bieber’s wider return to live music.

The singer is scheduled to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, positioning the Grammys as an early and highly visible step in his comeback.

The 2026 ceremony will feature a diverse and star driven lineup. All nominees in the Best New Artist category are set to perform, including Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, SOMBR and The Marías.

Other confirmed performers include Sabrina Carpenter, Pharrell Williams and hip hop duo Clipse.

The awards show will be hosted by Trevor Noah and is expected to blend established global stars with emerging talent, reflecting the evolving landscape of popular music.

With anticipation building around Justin Bieber’s Grammy return, the ceremony is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched broadcasts of the year, carrying both musical significance and a strong element of human resilience.
