Bob-Manuel Udokwu denies false death rumours circulating online, highlighting dangers of misinformation and viral fake news
Veteran Nollywood actor Bob-Manuel Udokwu has dismissed false reports of his death, describing the viral claim as disturbing and deeply frustrating.

Udokwu revealed during an appearance on the With Chude podcast on Monday that his children were the first to spot the rumour and alerted him before it gained wider circulation.
The claim included a manipulated image placing his face on another person’s body lying on a hospital bed.
The actor explained that the photo was created using old pictures of him, digitally altered and shared alongside a fabricated announcement of his death.
He said the incident emphasised the dangers of misinformation and how rapidly false narratives can spread across social media.
Despite expressing anger over the situation, Udokwu noted that his children advised him against taking legal action or pursuing those responsible, encouraging him instead to ignore the report and move forward.
