Nigerian singer Crayon fuels speculation about leaving Mavin Records after criticising Don Jazzy and COO Tega Oghenejobo on social media

Nigerian singer Charles Chibueze Chukwu, professionally known as Crayon, has ignited speculation about a possible departure from Mavin Records after a series of fiery posts targeting label boss Don Jazzy and the label’s COO, Tega Oghenejobo.

In posts on 𝕏, Crayon wrote: “Don Jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333,” while directing a harsher remark at Tega, calling him the “highest criminal!!!!!!!!!”

Crayon also claimed that he lost his mother due to the label, though he did not provide further details. In addition, he warned: “Mavin is going down!!!!!!”

The singer, who joined Mavin Records’ imprint Blowtime Entertainment in May 2019, has continued to post on Instagram, where he revealed a new venture, Olodum Entertainment, along with a new booking email address.

Speculation is mounting online that Crayon’s recently released song, “Baami,” is now listed under Olodum Entertainment rather than Mavin Records, fuelling further rumours about his potential exit from the label.

It remains unclear whether his 𝕏 account was compromised, but the singer has not indicated any hacking incident.
