The apology follows Peller’s alleged unauthorised visit to the Benin Palace, an incident that sparked outrage and drew the attention of the Benin Traditional Council.

The council described the visit as a breach of long-standing palace protocols.

In a viral live-stream video, Jarvis pleaded for understanding and forgiveness on behalf of her boyfriend, stressing the need to respect the traditions of the Benin Kingdom.

“I will not be single to stupor… please forgive him,” she said emotionally. “My bride price must be paid… please have mercy on him, have mercy on us.”

She also expressed concern over the impact of the controversy on her relationship and future marriage plans, urging palace authorities to temper justice with compassion.

Earlier, the Benin Traditional Council reportedly warned against unauthorised access to the palace, emphasising that all visitors must adhere strictly to cultural and traditional protocols.

Peller, who is currently on a nationwide tour, was said to be shocked upon learning that a palace insider who allegedly granted him access could face disciplinary action, including possible expulsion.

He has, however, been advised by his team to refrain from making public statements on the matter.

The incident has continued to generate mixed reactions on social media, with many users criticising the growing trend of using sensitive cultural institutions for content creation.
