Nigerian singer and songwriter Omah Lay has indicated a personal shift in his religious beliefs, suggesting a return to Christianity after previously exploring Islam.

The Rivers State-born artist, whose real name is Omah Stanley Didia, made the revelation in a recent post shared via Snapchat, where he reflected on his spiritual journey and evolving convictions.

Omah Lay wrote that he had resumed engaging with the Bible, noting that although he appreciated reading the Quran, he found a deeper personal connection with Christian teachings.

“Back to the Bible. I enjoyed reading the Quran but I relate more to this,” the singer stated, in a message that has since drawn widespread attention among fans and followers.

The development follows earlier indications from the artist, a few years ago, that he had embraced Islam, though he did not publicly elaborate in detail at the time.

While the latest statement does not formally declare a conversion, it strongly suggests a renewed alignment with Christianity, the faith widely understood to be his upbringing.

Observers note that the candid remark offers a rare glimpse into the introspective side of the artist, whose music often explores themes of emotion, identity and personal struggle.

The post has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans expressing support for his openness, while others have highlighted the deeply personal nature of faith and belief.

Omah Lay has yet to issue any further clarification, but the comment stands as a striking and revealing insight into his ongoing spiritual journey.
