The event, which drew a distinguished gathering of public figures, was organised to celebrate the life of the late Egwuenu, a retired commissioner of police who died on February 6 at the age of 80.

Genevieve Nnaji was present to support Ojy Okpe, underscoring a strong personal bond amid the emotional atmosphere. Videos from the service surfaced on social media the following day, capturing moments of tribute and reflection.

Among other notable attendees were former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi, businessman Tony Elumelu, and music artiste B-Red, highlighting the wide-reaching respect commanded by the late Egwuenu.
