American rapper Cardi B has revealed she was defrauded of $60,000 in a credit card scam, sparking widespread reaction after she detailed the incident during a live Instagram broadcast.

Cardi B fraud loss became a trending topic after the Grammy-winning artiste claimed that unauthorised transactions were made using her card at luxury retail outlets.

She alleged that $40,000 was spent at Saks Fifth Avenue, while a further $20,000 was charged at an Apple Store before the account was frozen.

The rapper described the incident as deliberate theft and insisted that those responsible would face legal consequences.

Cardi B said she closely monitors her financial alerts and quickly detected suspicious activity through instant notifications linked to her account.

Cardi B fraud loss remarks continued as she explained that both her accountant and personal financial systems flagged the transactions almost immediately, prompting swift action to block further spending.

The rapper further stated that she has secured visual evidence from affected locations and intends to pursue full recovery of the stolen funds.

The revelation has since generated significant online discussion, with fans expressing concern over the rising sophistication of credit card fraud targeting high-profile figures.
