Speaking on the BTS Reality podcast, the actress explained that her ex ended the relationship after someone sent him a clip of the scene, which featured her kissing a male colleague during a film production.
Sandra Okunzuwa said the incident highlighted the emotional challenges actors face when their on-screen roles are misunderstood in real life.
“When actors kiss while filming, about 20 people are watching them, and instructions are also being dished out to them. Even the AC will be turned off, and the director will monitor and instruct them throughout. So how can anyone be in the mood or turned on in such conditions and environment? Onscreen kisses are not even enjoyable,” she said.
She added that romantic scenes often create tension in personal relationships, especially when partners struggle with insecurity or fail to separate fiction from reality.
According to her, the situation made her understand why some people choose not to date actors, stressing that individuals must decide what they can tolerate in a relationship.

Sandra Okunzuwa further urged actors to maintain a clear boundary between their private lives and the characters they portray on screen, noting that professionalism remains essential in the film industry.
