Lateef Adedimeji reveals how Allah turned mockery into testimony with triplets

The actor says silence and faith helped him and Mo Bimpe navigate public scrutiny before welcoming their three sons

Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji on Tuesday reflected on the emotional journey he and his actress wife, Mo Bimpe, endured before welcoming their triplet sons, saying public scrutiny, rumours and hurtful comments tested their resolve but ultimately strengthened their faith.

The actor shared the deeply personal reflection on his official Instagram page months after the couple announced the arrival of their three boys in May 2026.

Looking back on the period before the birth, Adedimeji said the couple deliberately chose not to respond publicly to speculation surrounding their marriage and family life.

“They spoke, Allah answered,” he wrote. “The mockery. The lies. The stigma. The assumptions. The things said behind our backs and sometimes, right to our faces.”

“There was a time when the whispers were louder than our prayers.”

Adedimeji said there were moments when he and Mo Bimpe could have responded to their critics or attempted to explain themselves, but they instead chose silence and faith.

“There were moments we could have fought back. Moments we could have explained ourselves. Moments we could have tried to prove people wrong. But we chose silence,” he wrote.

“Because we knew something they didn’t… Allah was writing our story.”

For the actor, the arrival of the three boys transformed a difficult period of waiting into what he described as a powerful testimony of faith and divine timing.

“When Allah writes your story, you don’t need to fight every lie. You don’t need to answer every accusation. You don’t need to convince everyone. Just wait for His timing,” he wrote.

Adedimeji described his sons as three blessings and answers to prayers, expressing gratitude for the family he and Mo Bimpe now share.

“Today, I stand beside my wife, looking at our three beautiful boys, and I can only say: Subhanallah. Three boys. Three blessings. Three miracles. Three answers to prayers only Allah knew about,” he said.

He reflected further on how the experience had changed the meaning of the difficult moments the couple had faced.

“What people thought would break us, Allah used to build us. What people used to mock, Allah turned into our testimony,” he wrote.

“What people spoke about in darkness, Allah brought into the light. They had their opinions. Allah had His plan. And His plan was greater.”

The actor also used the post to pay tribute to Mo Bimpe, thanking her for remaining steadfast throughout the period.

“To my wife #mo_bimpe, we have been through a journey that only we truly understand,” he wrote.

“Thank you for standing, even when standing wasn’t easy. Thank you for believing, even when the world gave us reasons to doubt.”

His message also looked ahead to the future, imagining what their sons might one day learn about the circumstances surrounding their arrival.

“One day, you may hear the story of what your parents went through before you arrived. You may never fully understand the tears, the prayers, the waiting, and the battles,” Adedimeji wrote.

“But always remember this: You were prayed for. You were waited for. You were fought for. And Allah brought you to us in His most beautiful time.”

Rather than dwell on those who may have doubted the couple, the actor said he now preferred gratitude to confrontation.

“So today, I don’t want revenge. I don’t want explanations. I don’t want to prove anything anymore. I just want to say ALHAMDULILLAH,” he wrote.

His reflection comes as the couple prepares for a grand thanksgiving ceremony celebrating the birth of their children.

Mo Bimpe had earlier shared an emotional video ahead of the ceremony, describing motherhood as a journey that moved from waiting and tears to wonder and thanksgiving.

The couple announced the birth of their triplet sons in May, prompting an outpouring of congratulatory messages from colleagues, fans and well-wishers.

The announcement marked a joyful moment for the actors, who had largely kept details of their journey to parenthood private.

Adedimeji’s latest message now offers a glimpse into the emotions behind that decision, without revisiting every detail of the speculation that surrounded the couple.

For the actor, the arrival of the triplets has provided a reason to look beyond the hurt of the past and focus on gratitude.

His words also underline the personal significance of the three boys, whom he portrays not simply as a new chapter in his family life, but as the culmination of a period marked by patience, prayer and perseverance.

Months after their arrival, the family’s story has therefore moved from anticipation to celebration, with Adedimeji choosing faith and thanksgiving as his response to the difficult moments he says preceded their happiest chapter.
