The Gateway Front Foundation (GFF), on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, conducted its GFF Free Medical Screening Ogun State exercise at Redemption City and Simawa communities in Ogun State, providing clinical assessments and health evaluations for residents ahead of a planned surgical intervention programme scheduled for October 9 to 24, 2026.
The exercise, which took place simultaneously at Pillar 17Q, Old Auditorium, Redemption City between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and at Akogun Olusegun Okeowo Compound opposite the market in Simawa between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., was designed to widen access to healthcare services for residents across both locations.

Led by Dr. Bankole Osisanya, the medical outreach featured three dedicated teams of healthcare professionals who conducted comprehensive screenings across multiple specialties, including eye conditions such as cataracts and pterygium, dental cases, surgical conditions like hernias, lipomas and ganglions, as well as gynaecological cases including fibroids, vesicovaginal fistula and caesarian section-related assessments.

Other screenings covered prostate conditions, orthopaedic cases, fractures, dislocations, amputations, diabetes and gastroenterology.
The GFF Free Medical Screening Ogun State initiative also served as a preparatory stage for the Foundation’s forthcoming free surgical programme at Redeemers Health Village, Redemption City, where selected beneficiaries will undergo specialised medical interventions.
Supervision and coordination of the exercise were provided by the Gateway Front Foundation management team, with Arch. Abiodun Adesanya (also known as Kajiko), the Foundation’s Administrative Officer, and Aare Kolade Segun-Okeowo, GFF Manager for Sagamu Local Government Area, present on ground to oversee operations, mobilise residents and ensure smooth clinical flow.

The turnout across both venues was described as encouraging, with residents from Redemption City, Simawa and surrounding communities participating in large numbers to access the free healthcare services sponsored by His Excellency, Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
At the conclusion of the exercise, medical teams documented and selected several cases for further treatment and surgical care under the Foundation’s upcoming programme.

Beneficiaries were scheduled for follow-up procedures at the Redeemers Health Village facility.
Residents expressed appreciation for the outreach, describing it as timely and impactful in addressing healthcare needs at the grassroots level.

The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to improving access to quality healthcare across Ogun State, particularly within Ogun East Senatorial District.
