The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with a viral video showing the alleged assault of two truck drivers at Karma Agric Feeds and Foods Limited, located at Kilometre 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan.
The suspects are two security operatives attached to the company and an Indian national.
The Command’s attention was drawn to the video on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, at about 8:30 a.m.
Commissioner of Police Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga directed detectives to identify and apprehend all persons involved for investigation.
Preliminary findings indicate that the confrontation stemmed from a disagreement over the parking of a truck that had delivered goods to the company on Saturday.
According to the truck owner, Akinpelu Sarafa, 47, the driver objected to a designated parking spot over concerns that it could damage the truck’s tyres. He was reportedly compelled to park there, and one of the tyres subsequently burst.
The disagreement intensified when the driver requested a replacement tyre, but the company declined. In response, the driver allegedly used his truck to block the company’s entrance, triggering a physical confrontation involving the drivers, security operatives and an Indian national.
The two victims have been identified as Ridwan Olajide, 34, and Taiwo Yinusa, 37. Both were admitted to a hospital in the Academy area of Ibadan for medical attention. The Investigating Police Officer visited them at the hospital and obtained their statements.
Three suspects were arrested: Olowu Oluwadamilare and Sodeke Olamide, both security operatives attached to the company, and Harjit Singh, an Indian national, 46, associated with the company.
Investigations are ongoing to establish their respective roles in the incident and determine the culpability of all parties involved.
The case has been transferred to the Special Enquiry Bureau (SEB), Eleyele, Ibadan, for further investigation.
The Oyo State Police Command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property and ensuring that the law applies equally to all individuals and organisations. Members of the public were urged to remain calm and allow the investigation to proceed
