A residential project in Makkah has drawn strong international interest, with Alramz Real Estate reporting approximately SAR 670 million in preliminary off-plan reservations on the day of its launch.
The Masar Corner development, located within the Masar Destination in the holy city, consists of two towers with a total of 541 residential, commercial and service units and a gross built-up area of about 125,000 square metres. Completion is expected in 2029.
According to the company, the reservations came from investors in 51 countries. Nigeria ranked first in the number of reservations, followed by Indonesia, Pakistan, the United States and Türkiye.
The launch followed Saudi Arabia’s introduction of a regulatory framework governing property ownership by non-Saudis, which includes provisions applicable to Makkah.
One of the towers in the project contains 241 units. Social media posts circulating a video have claimed that a building with 241 apartments sold out in less than an hour for a total of 621,724,191 Saudi riyals. Official statements from Alramz refer to SAR 670 million in preliminary bookings across the full project rather than a completed sale of a single building in under an hour.
Alramz said the financial impact of the project is expected to be reflected gradually in its results from 2026 through 2029, in line with construction progress.
