Harry Kane has won the Gerd Müller Trophy as the best striker at the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London.
The Bayern Munich and England forward received the award for scoring the highest number of goals during the 2025-26 season, finishing with 73 goals across all competitions for club and country.
Kane scored 61 goals in 51 matches for Bayern Munich, including 36 in the Bundesliga, 14 in the Champions League and 10 in the DFB-Pokal. He added a further 12 goals in 14 appearances for England.
The Gerd Müller Trophy, named after the legendary German striker, is presented to the player who scores the most goals in a season. Kane’s tally of 73 is the highest recorded by any winner of the award.
This is Kane’s second Gerd Müller Trophy, having previously shared the honour with Kylian Mbappé in 2024 when both scored 52 goals.
The recognition came on the same night Kane was crowned the overall winner of the 2026 Ballon d’Or, becoming the first English player to claim the main prize since Michael Owen in 2001.
Mexico’s Charlyn Corral was named the winner of the women’s striker award.
