‘We need you in higher capacity’ Odogbolu youths groups tip Tunde Diya for council chair (Photos)

A call has been made to the indigenes and residents of Odogbolu local government to put their weights behind Dr. Tunde Diya in his quest to give the area a new definition of participatory governance. This call was made by speakers at the reception in honor of Dr. Tunde Diya Foundation founder and CEO who marked his birthday at his country home in Odogbolu.

Speaking one after the other, the speakers eulogized the philanthropic gestures of DTDF across all sectors of human endeavors, Health, Education, Environment, Empowerments, Infrastructures etc.

First speaker at the event, Dr. Kehinde Oludare stated that passion and love for development are the motivation for the involvement of Dr. Diya in the murky water of politics. Also speaking an All Progressive Congress chieftain in the local government, Icon Bolanle described Dr. Diya as Omoluwabi whose disposition to all and sundry has been very cordial. He then called on Dr. Tunde Diya to make himself more available to serve the people of Odogbolu in a higher capacity in addition to his current efforts in making the local government better.

The high point of the event was the presence of Youth leaders of the embattled Kasamu-led faction of People’s Democratic Party who expressed satisfaction on the general acceptance of Dr. Tunde Diya Foundation initiatives which has helped many indigenes and residents of Odogbolu and its environs. Kayode Bobiaku who represented the 15 PDP youth leaders of BURUJI KASAMU promised to support Dr. Diya anytime he seeks the support of the group. The group used the occasion to announce their readiness to decampto the APC to support Dr Tunde Diya aspiration.

Madam Dele Ogunnaike, Ms. Bunmi Aderigbigbe, (leader of the G-15 women in Odogbolu town, also the auditor APC Youth league assures Diya of unrelenting support of women and Youths in actualising his future political agenda.

Others who spoke at the event includes, Mr Damola Fayemi, (Co-ordinator The Yellow Initiative) The ward chairmen, 15 Women leaders, 15 youth Leaders APC in the LGA, the APC YOUTH LEAGUE executive members across the fiteen wards. Cycling Association of Odogbolu, community and religious leaders among others.
