Reno Omokri, the former aide of former Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, has challenged the presidency through Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.
This came on the heels of the latter claiming, despite the obvious security challenges in the country, that his principal, Buhari, has made Nigeria safer.
In a post on his Twitter handle, Omokri staked $20000 wager and dared the aide to sleep outside without security for a night.
Garba Shehu said General @MBuhari has made Nigeria safer. I vow to pay @GarShehu $20000 if he will spend a night without security in Koshobe, or Kware, verified by an independent journalist. I will give the funds to @DeleMomodu when Garba accepts to go.

In a swift response, the celebrity journalist, Dele Momodu, who Omokri tagged as umpire has also accepted the challenge, which he stated in this response below.
I have received a call from @renoomokri and I have accepted to be the umpire free of charge…

But as we all know that it takes two tango, Garba Shehu, however, responded. While ignoring the issues raised in the challenge, Buhari’s aide took a jab at Omokri, alleging that he must have been a fraudster.
If this is the money from the collections made in the name of Leah Sharibu, the unfortunate Christian girl stolen by Boko Haram, I won’t touch it with a long. Please keep “your USD20000”.
