Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski, has revealed that Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp was a bad teacher to him back in their days at Borussia Dortmund.

Lewandowski, who spoke about his relationship with Klopp said the Liverpool boss propelled him on the path to greatness.

The Polish attacker moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2010 and was played in an unfamiliar No.10 position, finding life tough in training under Klopp.

Lewandowski, who spoke to the Players’ Tribune, revealed how his relationship with Klopp developed.

“Jurgen was not only a father figure to me. As a coach, he was like the “bad” teacher. And I mean that in the best sense of the word.

“Let me explain. Think back to you when you were in school. Which teacher do you remember the most?

“Not the one who made life easy for you and never expected anything from you. No, no, no. You remember the bad teacher, the one who was strict with you.

“The one who put pressure on you and did everything to get the best out of you. That’s the teacher who made you better, right? And Jurgen was like that.”

Lewandowski received the Fifa men Best Player award for 2020 after he helped Bayern Munich to Bundesliga and Champions League titles.

On the other hand, Klopp led his Liverpool side to the Premier League title first time in 30 years after leading them to Champions League title the previous season.
