Rotary Club of Ikeja Alausa, led by its president, Rotarian Tonna Ofuasa, has carried out four massive projects at the Olusosun Primary School in Oregun Lagos.

The projects included a fully equipped vocational training centre, a fully equipped ICT centre, and a theory lecture room. The club also repainted a block of classrooms where the new vocational centre was established.

Rotarian Ofuasa and the immediate past president of the club, Rotarian Prince Adeyemi Aseperi, as well as other members of the club led the District Governor, Omotunde Lawson, FCAI to the school earlier in the day upon her official visit to the club for proper commissioning of the projects.

The DG, who was astonished at the projects a two year old club has carried out, commended the members while admonishing the school management to put the donation into good use. She advised that the ICT class should also be made available to other primary school level members of the community, who are not students of the school.

In her words, “This is the biggest project I have commissioned this Rotary year”.

The head mistress of the school, Eunice Fagbemi, assured everyone present that adequate care will be given to the donated items, adding that the school will put it into proper use for the benefit of the students.

Others present at the commissioning included the His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olukunmi Olusesan Akingbola Ikudoro, the HOS, School Support, Ajetumobi representing the Educational Secretary of Ikeja LGA, Comrade Amusu Akeem, as well as the immediate past chairman of NUT, Ikeja, Alase.

Some of the school students were also present to show their appreciation through singing.
