Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai has urged the Flying Eagles players to ensure they win the Third-Place match against Tunisia in 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that the seven-time champions lost 1-0 to Gambia in the semi-final on Monday, thanks to an early goal by Adama Bojang.
With the team set to face Tunisia for the bronze medal, the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner, he advised that the team should focus on their next game. He noted that the mistakes made against Gambia can only be corrected if they remain focused and overcome Tunisia.
“What should be their major focus at this point is how the team will beat Tunisia in the Third-Place match. That’s the only way they can redeem their image.
“For me, I will be delighted if the team wins the Bronze medal at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.”
