‘Stay at home’ Aisha Buhari calls for total lockdown, prays for Atiku’s son

The First Lady, Aisha Buhari on Monday called for a total lockdown over the outbreak of coronavirus in the country.

She commended the state governors for closing down schools but stated that it could be counterproductive if children stay and home and parents go to work.

In a tweet via her official page, she said ” It is commendable that state governors have closed down schools; however, this could be counterproductive if parents are still going to work. We should not isolate students and expose their parents.

“Let us remember that they will meet at home.

#StayAtHome”

In a related development, the First Lady has prayed for the quick recovery of the son of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

She stated this while reacting to reports that the former Vice President’s son had tested positive for coronavirus.

Atiku in his statement noted that his son has been moved to Gwagwalada specialist hospital.

Aisha Buhari in a post on her official Twitter account wrote: “Your Excellency, It’s with a deep sense of concern that I extend my sincere prayers towards the quick recovery of your dear son.”

“Allah renu en Amin.”
