The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has congratulated his political leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over his emergence has the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer in the forthcoming presidential election in 2023.

Recall that the relationship between the duo has been frosty and came to the head when Ogbeni Rauf attempted to unseat the incumbent governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, by forming a parallel political structure in the state.

In a release seen by Freelanews and signed by the former governor of Osun State, Tinubu’s victory was expected and befitting.

“I write to felicitate with you on your hard fought victory at the just concluded Presidential Primary election of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“You have demonstrated once again that you are a dogged fighter and in your quest for the establishment of a democratic society, you are willing to go the whole hog.

“It is my prayer that you will ride on the crest of the momentum of this triumph to lead our party to victory in next year’s General Elections,” Ogbeni Aregbesola wrote.

He, however, believed it was indeed a well deserved victory.
