A pre-rally to mobilise and sensitise residents has been scheduled for Saturday, 21st September 2024, at Akinola Field, starting at 11:00 AM.
The pre-rally aims to raise awareness among community members about rejecting Ikeja Electric’s Band A tariff and prepare them for the larger protest planned for Wednesday, 25th September 2024.
The protest is expected to draw participation from various Community Development Associations (CDAs) and estate leaders.
Organisers have called on all estate leaders and CDA representatives to attend the pre-rally, emphasising its importance in uniting the community against the electricity provider’s actions.
